What is Mental

Performance Coaching?

Just like an athlete works on strength or speed, Mental Performance Coaching helps build mental skills — like focus, confidence, resilience, and composure — so you can perform at your best under pressure.

It’s practical, skill-based work rooted in sport psychology. We look at things like goal-setting, visualization, self-talk, routines, and stress management — and we tailor them to the person’s goals, whether they’re competing, recovering, or trying to level up in any high-performance environment.

MEET YOUR COACH

Aloha! I’m Angie Dolan. I’m an athlete, mom, educator, mental performance coach, and firm believer that knowing yourself is the greatest competitive advantage you’ll ever have.

I’ve spent most of my life as an athlete — growing up in the ocean in Honolulu, competing in multiple sports, earning a Division I scholarship, and continuing to race and paddle at a competitive level around the world. These experiences taught me early that success isn’t just about strength or skill — it’s about what’s happening inside your mind when the pressure is on.

Along the way, I learned something that changed everything for me:
Success isn’t just about training harder. It’s about knowing yourself — deeply — and trusting that knowledge when it matters most.

That realization led me to mental performance coaching.
Now, as I work toward my CMPC certification, I combine lived experience with evidence-based strategies to help athletes master their mindset, handle pressure, and reconnect with the passion that brought them to their sport.


I coach from a place of lived experience and evidence-based practices — of being in it, struggling through it, and finding the evidence-based tools that work.
